Tyre Sealant Technical Information
The SEAL tyre sealant composition is a green coloured gel acting as a dispersion agent and a
strong rust / corrosion inhibitor, combined with sealing fibre and blocking agents.

Composition
The wet component of the sealant is a gel comprised of ethylene / propylene glycol as well as water that acts with other chemical components to form a powerful rust inhibitor.
SEAL tyre sealant has three very prominent blocking agents. Poly fibres constitutes 60% of the
blocking action with fine synthetic particles and a special sediment dust making up the balance. These blocking agents are further bound by a strong fixative.
The dispersion agent comprises a mix of cellulose, ethylene / propylene glycol and water. The dispersion agent (gel) ensures an even distribution on an inner surface of the tyre while also stabilizing the compound.
This gel also acts as a rust inhibitor and coolant component on the steel or alloy rims of a vehicle in as much as where the SEAL product is applied, rust or corrosion is prevented.
SEAL will remain effective at temperatures between -30 Degrees Celsius and 80 Degrees
Celsius.
Operation
Once injected into the tyre, the gel forms a protective layer inside the tyre. When a puncture occurs, the internal pressure of the tyre automatically pushes the sealant into the hole. The wet component is the carrier for the blocking agents to the hole.
The special fibres, synthetic particles and sediment will bond with each other with the help of a unique bonding agent and together it will form a fibre, synthetic, sediment plug through the full depth and length of the puncture hole.
This forms a more secure and superior repair than any traditional plug that is inserted from the outside of the tyre. This action happens on a continuous basis as and when punctures occur. The puncture hole contracts and expand as the tyre rotates because of the natural rubber
action of the tyre when in motion.
This allows the fibre, synthetic particles and sediment, thickeners and fixatives to penetrate even more, bonding and forming a formidable and solid plug.
The dispersion agent (gel) will continue to coat the tyre evenly on the inside of the tyre to protect the tyre from further punctures as they occur.

Service
Should a client require stronger thicker solution capacity, the composition can be adjusted in viscosity to match special applications and conditions.
